Benchmark of Key Competences for Mediators
Objectives
Develop the common skills benchmark framework for the professional mediator
Methodology
Collaborative inter-partner work coordinated by the team of the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts according to different strategies:
1) documentary research and sharing of resources between countries;
2) monthly Consortium Work Team meetings;
3) coordination of local teams of experts in mediation (research and practice) and working meetings;
4) qualitative and quantitative survey of professionals = construction of a common questionnaire + semi-structured interview guide for diagnosis of the mediator's professional skills;
5) field = dissemination of the online questionnaire and interviews;
6) Analysis of the results by country and pooling at European level;
7) drafting of the competency framework.
Results
- Profile of the European professional mediator;
- Needs for qualifying training linking theoretical knowledge with practical and technical knowledge at the 'intermediate manager' level;
- Skills benchmark (general skills and specific skills).
Training plan of the Degree in Mediation for Social Inclusion
Objectives
Build Mediation License Training Plan
Methodology
Collaborative inter-partner work coordinated by the team of the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts according to different strategies:
1) documentary research and sharing of resources between countries;
2) monthly Consortium Work Team meetings;
3) coordination of local teams of experts in mediation (research, training and practice) and working meetings;
4) analysis of the distribution of competences according to needs, subjects, disciplines and practices in accordance with the Bologna principles;
5) Drafting of the training plan over 6 semesters.
Results
- Training plan over 3 years (L1; L2; L3): 180 credits, distribution of 30 credits per semester.
- Articulation of the plan between theoretical knowledge and practical and technical knowledge + Erasmus plus European mobility in semester 5 for students, teachers, administrative staff.

Online teaching-learning platform
Objectives
- Organize a distance learning platform that facilitates collaboration between teachers, students, administrative staff and mediators in the theoretical and practical training activities of the European Diploma in Mediation for Social Inclusion,
- Provide common educational materials in digital format: information, programs, lessons, conference activities and research related to the European Diploma in Mediation.
Methodology
Collaborative work between partners coordinated by the University of Cagliari team using different strategies:
1) documentary research;
2) interviews with mediation training experts and mediators;
3) regular working group meetings;
4) sharing the functionalities and contents of the distance learning platform;
5) construction of the illustrative guides;
6) experimentation of the LIMEdiat platform with a university course from the University of Cagliari;
7) administration of quality check questionnaires to users;
8) progressive adaptation of the LIMEdiat educational platform;
9) preparation of final documents.
Results
- Limediat educational platform:
i) a public information space, with study plans, texts, illustrative manuals and other consultable teaching aids, contacts to receive clarifications on the European Diploma in Mediation;
ii) a private space relating to the management of the lessons of the European diploma in mediation, internships, mobility, the material archive, meetings between teachers, administrative staff and students.
- Educational materials, illustrative manuals for the European Diploma in Mediation and the LIMEdiat distance learning platform.
OUTPUT 4
Mediation Training and Evaluation Toolkit
Objectives
- Organize a referential methodological framework adapted to the training of mediators within the framework of the European Diploma in Mediation for Social Inclusion, namely teaching-learning and evaluation methodologies and theoretical and practical training tools.
- Produce common training-learning materials in digital format, particularly for distance learning, immersion phases and European mobility.
Methodology
Inter-partner collaborative work coordinated by the University of Minho team according to different strategies:
1) documentary research;
2) periodic work team meetings;
3) construction of a guide presenting teaching tools;
4) construction of a form for carrying out a survey by questionnaire among teachers and students in higher education and professional mediators who collaborate in training with higher education establishments;
5) implementation of the online questionnaire to analyze respondents' perception of their knowledge and assess the relevance and feasibility of the educational tools selected by the LIMEdiat team;
6) drafting of the final documents.
Results
- Toolkit: Training and Assessment Methodologies and Strategies (a resource to promote collaborative, positive and meaningful teaching-learning spaces).
- LIMEdiat European mobility scheme.
OUTPUT 5
File Degree in Mediation for Social Inclusion online
Objectives
Build an academic file of the European Diploma in Mediation for Social Integration, common to all the countries that form the LIMEdiat consortium (France, Portugal, Spain and Italy).
Methodology
Collaborative work between partners coordinated by the University of Murcia team through the following steps:
1) identification of a common file structure for the implementation of the European Diploma in Mediation for Social Inclusion;
2) the inclusion of the main results of outputs 1 to 4 that make up the design of the European LIMEdiat project, in particular the results related to the training plan;
3) the inclusion of aspects related to the quality of the future European diploma in mediation for social integration from the point of view of the sustainability of the diploma;
4) Assume by participating partners that the dossier meets the requirements of each assessment agency.
Results
Dossier of the European Diploma in Mediation for Social Integration: Technical-academic document that can be submitted to any diploma assessment agency of the countries that make up the European LIMEdiat Consortium: France, Portugal, Spain and Italy.
